Hello. I’m Sasika and I am the Nursery Manager at Monkey Puzzle Riverside.
All of the staff here are eager to give every child the opportunity to shine. We encourage the children in their play while learning and being part of a caring and nurturing setting. We are dedicated to looking after your children and offer support to care givers and parents, as your feedback is so important to us.

What Makes Us Special
Supporting Every Child’s Growth
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to guide your child’s development from birth to five, focusing on personal, social and emotional development, communication and language, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. Each child has a dedicated key person to provide care, reassurance, and support, keeping a Learning Journey to track progress and achievements, which parents are encouraged to view and contribute to.
Healthy, Balanced Meals for Growing Children
We know a nutritious diet is key to your child’s growth and development. Every day we provide fresh, balanced meals and snacks designed to broaden their food experiences, including a variety of breakfast options like wholemeal toast, non-sugared cereals, and fruit. Lunch and tea are freshly prepared on-site, with choices to suit all tastes and dietary needs. Children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day, and our cook, trained as an allergen champion, ensures every dietary requirement is carefully met. Menus and recipes are available on request.

Children thrive when they feel safe, secure, and valued. Our dedicated staff provide personalised care, supporting emotional wellbeing, curiosity, and learning at every stage. Babies, Tweenies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers benefit from consistent routines, cuddles, praise, and engaging activities that build confidence, independence, and social skills. Each child has a Key Person who monitors progress, observes needs, and fosters development through play, exploration, and support, ensuring every child grows happy, confident, and ready for the next stage of their journey.

Play-based activities, small group learning, and exploration both indoors and outdoors help children develop confidence, social skills, and a love of discovery, while preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.

Healthy Eating
As children grow, a healthy and balanced diet is key, and we inspire with a variety of colour, texture, and taste to expand their food experiences.
Seasonal and local produce are also important in helping children understand more about where food comes from and nutrition.
